How to Make Your False Eyelashes Last Longer: 6 Care Tips

There’s nothing more frustrating than a gorgeous pair of strip lashes losing their shape after two wears. The good news: with the right care, quality strip lashes can be worn many times. Here’s exactly how to make yours last.

1. Remove Them Gently — Never Tug

At the end of the day, loosen the outer corner with your fingers or tweezers and peel the strip off slowly along the lash line. Yanking bends the band out of shape and pulls lashes loose.

2. Don’t Soak Them in Water

Water breaks down the lash band and ruins the curl. If you need to clean off glue residue, use a cotton swab lightly dampened — never submerge the strip.

3. Remove Glue Buildup Carefully

After each wear, gently peel away dried adhesive from the band with tweezers or your fingertips. Built-up glue is the main reason lashes stop sitting flat.

4. Go Easy on the Mascara

Mascara clumps the fibers and shortens the life of your strips. If you want extra blend, apply mascara to your natural lashes first and let it dry before applying the strip.

5. Store Them in Their Tray

Always put your lashes back in their original tray after wearing. It protects the curl and keeps the band’s shape — tossing them loose in a makeup bag is a one-way ticket to misshapen lashes.

6. Keep Them Away From Heat

Don’t leave lashes near hot styling tools or in a hot car. Heat warps the fibers and the band.

When Is It Time for a New Pair?

When the band won’t sit flat, lashes are falling out, or they’ve lost their curl even after proper storage — it’s time. With good care, our customers get many wears out of every pair.
